Shipping & Delivery
- Processing: 1-2 business days before dispatch.
- Transit: 10-15 business days, shipped direct from our warehouse in China.
- Free shipping to the United States and Australia.
- Tracking: a tracking number is issued with every order.
If you are buying this for a particular lake weekend or holiday, order roughly three to four weeks out. That absorbs the 10-15 business days in transit and leaves time to inflate a 2.91 m island once at home, where a garden hose and a flat lawn make the job much easier than a boat ramp does. Our lake day essentials packing list is a good companion read.
Why an Eight-Seat Island Ships Direct Rather Than From Local Stock
Floats that seat six to eight adults with a canopy over the top are an awkward product for conventional retail. The carton is heavy, the footprint is nearly three metres across, and the selling window is short, so most local channels stock smaller loungers and rings and skip the group islands entirely. That is a warehousing decision, not a demand one.
Shipping direct from our warehouse means we do not pay to hold that bulk domestically, and the saving goes into the price of the island rather than into storage. In exchange you plan a little further ahead - which, for something built around a lake day or a party with eight people on it, is usually how the purchase works anyway.
FAQ
Q: How long does delivery take?
A: 1-2 business days to process and 10-15 business days in transit, free to the US and Australia, with tracking.
Q: How many adults actually fit?
A: It is laid out for 6-8 people, each with a cup holder, under a shared sun canopy. That is seating space, not a tested weight guarantee: eight large adults load a float very differently from six. Our guide to pool float weight capacity explains what those numbers really mean.
Q: Can I use it in a lake?
A: Yes - the canopy makes it particularly good for long days on open water. Anchor it, though. An island this size with a sunshade catches wind like a sail and will drift faster than you expect. Our guide on anchoring a floating island in a lake covers depth, line length and what to tie to.
Q: Where should I attach a rope?
A: To the grab handles or a D-ring, never to a seam, a cup holder, a canopy pole or an air valve. Those points are not load-bearing and a towline on one of them is the fastest way to tear an island.
Q: Does it come with a pump?
A: No pump is included. Electric pumps are available in our accessories collection.
Q: How do I deflate and store it?
A: Take the canopy down first, then open all valves and roll from the far edge towards them to push the air out. Rinse off lake water or chlorine, dry it fully, and fold it loosely for storage somewhere cool. Packing it away damp is the main cause of mildew.
